Michelangelo (1475 - 1564)
'Let whoever may have attained to so much as to have the power of drawing know that he holds a great treasure.'
Here is a small selection of my traditional art. This is how I started my varied career. I love drawing and have done it all my life through primary, secondary, third level. I always knew I wanted to work in some form of creativity and am at my most content when completing a work.
Most of my work features portraits. I love drawing faces and exploring the stories buried deep behind their eyes. Faces are fascinating! I feel once I have drawn a person I have really studied this person in depth, I have really seen them. Everyone looks beautiful and interesting to me.
Pencil is my favourite medium as I have much more control but I also like to experiment with different paints and try to bring in elements to make my art more 3 dimensional.
